Your flight to Paro provides beautiful views of the Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you. After lunch, visit the
Ta Dzong Museum and the
Rinpung Dzong in Paro. Then, drive along the Pachu River to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan (1.5 hours). Overnight stay at a hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, drive to explore Thimphu, a lovely blend of tradition and modern life. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Temple, and the National Library. Stop at
Tashichhodzong, which houses the King’s offices and the central monastic body. If you're visiting on a weekend, take a walk through the local market. Overnight stay at your hotel in Thimphu.
It takes about a 20 to 25-minute drive from Thimphu to the parking area of Dodeydra Monastery, where you can start your hike, which takes around 3.5 hours, allowing time for pictures along the way. During the hike, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Thimphu. Upon reaching the monastery, you can explore and observe the monks as they learn and practice ritual symbols. In the evening, you can attend prayers and meditation. Spend the night at the monastery and enjoy a meal prepared by the monks.
In the early morning, attend meditation at the monastery and watch the monks as they pray. After breakfast, hike back to the parking area and drive to Thimphu, passing through the scenic Dochu-La Pass (3,100 meters), where you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayan range. Continue your journey to
Punakha Valley.
After lunch, embark on a hike through rice fields and visit Chimi Lhakhang, the "Temple of Fertility," and learn about its fascinating history. Stay overnight in Punakha
After breakfast, visit the historic Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of two rivers. Drive back to Thimphu and explore the souvenir shops. Then, continue your journey to Haa Valley via the Chele La Pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Paro and Haa valleys. Arrive in Haa and enjoy the evening at your hotel.
Explore the stunning Haa Valley, visiting the ancient Lhakhang Karpo and Nagpo temples, believed to have been built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century. These temples are significant in Bhutan’s history and are associated with the spread of Buddhism in the region. After exploring the temples, take a leisurely stroll through the beautiful valley or choose to go on a biking tour. Later, transfer to Paro for the night.
Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), dramatically perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley. Enjoy the breathtaking views and learn about its spiritual significance, as it is believed to be the place where Guru Rinpoche meditated in the 8th century. After lunch, if you're not too tired, visit Drukgyel Dzong, an ancient fortress built in 1644 to celebrate Bhutan's victory over Tibetan invaders. The dzong offers stunning views of Mount JomoLhari, particularly on clear days. Stay overnight in Paro.
After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. We wish you safe travels and hope you had a memorable experience in Bhutan. Tashi Delek! May your journey be filled with peace and happiness.!
